Bill Lancton is a guitar player’s guitar player. He grew up in the New York City area and has been a professional musician his entire life, playing guitar for a number of different bands from jazz to rock, and even reggae!
In 1973 he settled in the Indianapolis area where his prowess as a jazz guitarist blossomed and grew. In 2005, Bill was inducted into the Indianapolis Jazz Hall of Fame, the second guitarist to ever earn the honor.
For many years Bill has been a regular at the Jazz Kitchen, hosting the Indy Guitar Summit and playing many jazz tributes to Santana among others. He has several albums under his belt, which accompany his decades of experience playing all over the country and the world. He moved to Madison, IN in 2014 but continues to return to play for audiences throughout Indianapolis and Madison.
